ABOUT THE CONCERT

Get ready for an evening of talent, love, and hope! From theater acts to classical opera, this benefit concert will showcase unique talents by students of Clear Lake High School.

 

Dedicated to the Clear Creek Challengers, a program that helps students in Clear Creek ISD with special needs gain access to athletic programs through the Special Olympics, this benefit concert also aims to promote a welcoming and caring learning environment at Clear Lake HS. 

MRS. LINDY GOODWIN

Advisor/Sponsor Teacher

Carl Ho is a senior at Clear Lake High School. He has been involved with the performing arts for the majority of his life. He started playing violin since he was 3 years old, and dabbled in piano since around 6. Recently, he has picked up singing and has excelled. He believes that this concert is a great way to allow his passion for music to do great things!

Michelle Feng is a sophomore at Clear Lake High School who is a soprano I in the Clear Lake High School varsity choir. Michelle started singing and playing piano in elementary school. She joined the Clear Lake High School choir and has participated in the All State process, advancing to Pre-Area. She is excited to be able to give back to the community with music!

Ashley Lin is a Senior at Clear Lake High School. She is in the Clear Lake Wind Ensemble as a Clarinet. In her free time, she enjoys catching up with friends over a nice cup of coffee.

Alex Lee is a freshman at CLHS and loves music! He started taking piano and violin lessons at age 6. Alex plays tennis and takes tennis lessons and participate in various tournaments. He enjoys learning, especially computer coding, and enjoys working in teams and helping others, such as volunteering at church to teach Sunday school.

Nancy is a senior at Clear Lake High School. She enjoys playing the viola, debating, and drawing. She hopes for the benefit concert to grow and be successful in the coming years.

Richard is a sophomore at Clear Lake High School. As a former NJHS President who worked with teachers and students to organize a fundraiser at Hope Village for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, the current goal of the concert to support CCISD Special Olympics is one he has had similar experiences supporting, and still wholeheartedly supports.

Richard Xu

Yan Zhe Wong is a Junior at Clear Lake High School. He has been surrounded by music his entire life, starting piano at the age of 6 and cello at 10. He currently plays Cello in the CLHS Chamber I Orchestra, who recently were awarded as the TMEA Honor Orchestra of the 2019-2020 school year. He is also involved in Business Professionals of America, Earth Club, and VEX Robotics. In his free time, he enjoys sight-reading and jazz piano.

Raaghav Kavuri is currently a Sophomore at Clear Lake High School. Music has always been a large part of his life and he currently enjoys volunteering at the community events. He enjoys participating in activities such as debate and Music He loves helping others and is excited to use this opportunity uo give back to his community. He volunteers at Gulf Coast Blood Bank regularly.

Yan Ru Wong is a senior at Clear Lake High School. She is a big music lover and plays viola in the CLHS Chamber I Orchestra. At school, she participates in Business Professionals of America and Earth Club. In her free time, Yan Ru enjoys volunteering around the community, reading books, and catching up with friends.

Alex Kita is a senior at Clear Lake High school. He is involved in the marching band. In the concert season, he is in the CLHS Wind Ensemble as a Alto Saxophone. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and continuing to practice his instrument.

Lucy Ma is currently a junior at Clear Lake High School. Music has always been a large part of her life and she currently enjoys playing the cello and singing at her church. Other than music, she enjoys participating in activities such as debate and robotics. She loves helping others and is excited to to use this opportunity to give back to other students and her community.

Sharif is 18 years old and attends Clear Lake High School. He enjoys debate, writing, and cookies. Mostly cookies.

Pavan Manoj is a senior at CLHS. He's a big music lover and plays the clarinet in the CLHS Wind Ensemble and CLHS Full Orchestra. Pavan is also a Texas All-State Musician and participated in the 2019 TMEA conference. He aspires to become a dcotor and participates in DECA and HOSA. In his free time, Pavan loves playing chess, volunteering around the community, and drinking boba!

 Emmy Li is currently a freshman attending Clear Lake High School. Music has always been her passion since she started playing violin in the sixth grade. She is also artfully skilled in painting and drawing, and her other hobbies include playing tennis and reading. Emmy is grateful for this opportunity to give back to the community through this upcoming benefit concert.

Michael Yo is a freshman at Clear Lake High School. Music has been a big part of Michael’s life since he was little. He started playing the piano when he was 4. He also plays the cello and is currently part of the CLHS Chamber 2 Orchestra. Michael is also involved in Earth Club, Assisteens, and has been serving as an altar server for the past 8 years at his local church. During his free time, Michael likes to play games with his friends and learning new things.
